We grow our produce by means of organic practices on 102 acres. Our farm is not certified organic, but we follow organic methods to protect our land, our consumers and our families. We strive to push our growing standards beyond organic, creating a highly diverse selection of nutrient dense food which improves the local ecology.
We raise approximately 1000 cornish game hens for meat each year. These are snatched up by chefs before they can get to the market usually, or sold to people picking berries at our u-pick blackberry patch. They are about 1 1/2 to 2 pounds each, dressed and full of flavor. We raise them on organic feed and flats of wheat grass that we raise ourselves.
For fun we raise or have here on our farm, Peacocks, cats, Great Pyrenees dogs for our and our sheep’s protection, German Shepherds, a poodle, American Pitbull Terriers,American Bullies, 2 horses, 2 mini horses, 3 sheep to pet, a mini rex rabbit, and a talking parrot named Sly.
Our goal this year is to do two corporate tours each month, starting the end of April through the month of October, so if your company would interested in coming to tour the farm for a fun and informative day out and a meal from our produce, meats, grains and fruits or if your school is interested or if you are an organization that is interested in touring our sustainable farm you may contact me by Email
